Vans Korea released the limited-edition collaboration sneaker, Customade by Custom Culture, on its popular custom service Vans Customs, which allows customizations to be made on classic models, Available now.

Vans Customs is a service that allows customizations to be made on enduring masterpieces including the Slip-On, Old Skool, Era, Authentic, and Sk8-Hi. Users can choose the design and material for each part including the upper area, heel, and sole. Users can also implement designs using images they upload.

This collaboration is based on the popular Slip-On and is a special model that includes updates on the design made at the Vans Asia Custom Culture 2018 held in Guangzhou, China in 2018.

The collaboration sneaker Customade by Custom Culture not only is purchasable, but also partially customizable using the users’ own designs. *The vamp (upper area) is not customizable.

About Vans Asia Custom Culture

Vans Asia Custom Culture is a designing contest where artists from Asia design a custom product starting with a white VANS shoe as the canvas.
In Vans Asia Custom Culture 2018, participants who made it through the preliminary round from Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, India, Indonesia, and Singapore gathered in Guangzhou, China to engage in preparing a product for the final round.

MASA entered the finalist as a representative of Japan in “Vans Asia Custom Culture 2018” sponsored by VANS.
“Vans Asia Custom Culture 2018” is an Asia area version of “Custom Culture” held in various places by VANS. Contest participants will custom paint VANS Slip-On and compete for design.

Participating countries are 11 countries, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, India.
The number of entries exceeded 10,000 from Asian countries, and the first examination, the second examination, the final stage were held for about 6 months.

In the final stage, finalists from Asian countries gathered in Guangzhou China, and produced works of the finals in the studio.
At the “House of Vans Tour 2018” held in Guangzhou China, a finalist award ceremony was held.

Masa won Semi Grand Prix at a T-shirt contest sponsored by DJ Daruma’s t-shirt brand “CREPEMAN” and Japanese street fashion magazine “Ollie magazine”.
This is the fourth Ollie T-shirt design contest. The jury members are DJ DARUMA, Japanese rapper DABO, Tatsuya Chiba. DJ DARUMA is active as a member of PKCZ after acting as DEXPISTOLS. The design theme of the contest is “monotone”.

After working as a member of DJ produce team “DEXPISTOLS”, he is currently contracted with LDH. Active as “PKCZ” with EXILE HIRO, DJ MAKIDAI, VERBAL form m-flow.
He also works for his own apparel brand “FULL-BK”.

Masa won a Semi Grand Prix in a T-shirt contest sponsored by Billionaire Boys Club and street fashion magazine Ollie magazine.
The third Ollie T-shirt design contest in August 2013. Pharrell Williams joined the jury, and the Billionaire Boys Club provided support. The number of entries has reached a record high, and more than 600 works have been applied from all over the world.
